I once worked with a team leader, who repeated the latest buzzwords on positivity, without an authentic ability to understand and accept the struggles of the team.
Needless to say, there was a high turnover of staff in the team.
For some, leading a team is simply a status symbol.
Such leaders have unhappy and demotivated teams.
For others, team management is an opportunity to participate in the transformational process of learning and growth of those they manage.
Because these managers have an ability to understand, validate and accept the struggles in their team.
They know how to create a culture of empowerment and motivation by offering genuine support and guidance.
Remember that toxic positivity is your manager’s inability to manage.
Not your inability to do your job.
